Sustained-damage weapons are ideal for this role as the Leo will probably be engaging for extended periods of time in this role. However, despite being more than capable of taking on 2 or even 3 enemies simultaneously, the Leo's commander should know when to pull out of a fight. In this scenario, the Leo should target one enemy at a time (preferably the one with the lowest health), as the quicker the Leo takes out robots, the less combined firepower the enemies will have and the Leo will take less damage. When acting as an area defender, the Leo will usually be under attack from multiple enemies at once. The Leo's singular drawback is the fact that its speed is not that great, so trying to deal as much damage as possible before the enemy runs away is a good tactic. While brawling the Leo should always make sure that the enemy stay within the ideal range of its weapons for as long as possible. When transitioning into the higher leagues, it is usually outclassed by other robots, but with highly upgraded Pilot skills, Module and a specialised Drone, the Leo can remain competitive even in Champion's League with its sheer durability and powerful loadout. Since it has one heavy and three light weapons Leo can also be used for mid-range and long-range support. In the lower leagues Leos are good for defending center beacon, especially on maps such as Yamantau and Dreadnought. Leo is good for brawling, area defense, and for holding beacons. In higher leagues the Leo is less commonly run due to its lack of mobility and limited passive module slots. The combination of high firepower and high durability make the Leo a formidable bot in the lower-leagues and potentially in the mid-leagues. The Leo has slow ground speed but strong firepower with 1 heavy and 3 light hardpoints, and the third-highest durability in the game (only the Raijin and Invader have more). The Leo is a heavy robot with 1 heavy and 3 light hardpoints.
